The program has a very effective mechanism of operation. Motyl
analyses the content of a page with regard to forbidden words and it closes the site in case they occur. This mechanism enables Motyl
to handle successfully newly developed sites as well as foreign-language sites.
However, if you notice that a certain site opens even though it should not, it can be easily prevented.
Select the Exclude the following sites option. Here you can enter the addresses of the sites that are not closed by Motyl
, and you do not want them to be allowed to open.
You can also type in a single word. If you enter the word "doll" on the list, every page that contains the word "doll" in its address will be blocked, regardless of the contents of the page. For example, sites that will not open could include: www.doll.uk
In the given addresses you should not use http. Instead of http://www.doll.uk
, type in www.doll.uk
or better still: doll.uk
or even doll
Examples of other blocking entries: .exe
– prevents downloading executive files .zip
– prevents downloading compressed files .doc
– prevents downloading DOC documents
